Satisfaction in Imperfection

"But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us." 1 Corinthians 4:7

“For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:30):
"Thus, in one sense, the road back to God is a road of moral effort, of trying harder and harder. But in another sense it is not trying that is ever going to bring us home. All this trying leads up to the vital moment at which you turn to God and say, "You must do this. I can’t."~ C.S. Lewis (Mere Christianity)
"I have been crucified with Christ and I no long live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God."~ Galatians 2:20
‘'In this text [Galatians 2:20], Paul suggests that the task of Christian living is fulfilled in a paradoxical way. It is totally the work of the individual; at the same it is totally the work of God.' ~ S. Grenz (Theology for the Kingdom of God)

And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we have an obligation—but it is not to the flesh, to live according to it. For if you live according to the flesh, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeeds of the body, you will live. (Romans 8:11-13)

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh…Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other. (Galatians 5:16, 24-25)

Jesus, the True North, the Via, Veritas, Vita:
'Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' (John 14:6)
Spirit lead me through the wilderness: “Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come…For we live by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:5,7)
"…in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." (Romans 12:1-2)"For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." (Philippians 1:21)

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
